About

Our Engineering activities have their origins over 40 years ago in GRP vacuum forming mould production. With the inherent quality and production limitations of GRP moulds we developed our business towards Aluminium mould production technology with the provision of an in-house foundry facility. Over the next two decades we established a worldwide reputation in the supply of moulds for sanitary ware applications. The production methods have been continually improved to today’s modern facility including CNC machining stations and the latest Cad/Cam software packages.

Our expanded production facility can now offer fully machined moulds from solid aluminium billet or castings. As well as benefiting our traditional markets we have now expanded our interests into the general plastics industry. We offer unrivalled product quality and repeatability, all with the benefit of very short product lead times.
We began the development of thermoforming equipment over 25 years ago with oven and rig production equipment for sanitary ware applications. These were developed to increasing levels of sophistication and variety. However, we felt that the specific needs of the Sanitary ware thermoforming industry were not being adequately addressed by machinery principally designed for the needs of the general vacuum forming industry. Our design team took a fresh look at the needs of the industry and together developed our VT series (Vertical Thermoformer) in the early 1990s.

This series of machines have proven to be a great success and we now have a worldwide customer base including America, Europe and Asia. Our machines have been continually developed and enhanced over the years to offer an unrivalled combination of product quality and efficiency.
From this base we have developed the HT series of machines for the general vacuum forming market which employ similar technologies. They have enjoyed excellent customer acceptance in their target markets.

We have a range of Acrylic/GRP cutting and drilling solutions, including our robust automated trimmers, various CNC machines to our robotic systems.
Manual and Robotic GRP spraying systems are to be seen employed in our sister divisions production facilities as too are other examples of our process machinery.
Prospective customers are welcome to visit us and see these facilities in action. Our Engineering team utilises Solid Works 3D modelling to provide bespoke engineered solutions to our customers needs. We bring with this service over 40 years practical manufacturing experience in the plastics processing industry, providing us with a unique blend of abilities to convert innovative engineering ideas to productive functional plant within minimum timescales. For these reasons Armour Engineering is the preferred partner of choice for many well known worldwide manufacturing companies.
